Mrs. Maureen Coelho is a retired Media Specialist and educator who enjoyed teaching for 34 years. She is married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
Education has played an important role in Maureen’s life. Maureen holds a BS in Education from Glassboro State College, a Media Specialist Certificate for K-12 from Rowan College, a MAT from Marygrove University in Detroit, and 60 Post Graduate credits from local Colleges. She was Teacher of the Year in 2001 while serving as the Librarian at Whitehall Elementary School which received the Blue Ribbon of Excellence in Education the same year.

Maureen has been married to a Portuguese Citizen for 34 years and has traveled to Portugal almost every year since 1987, including 2 visits per year on occasion. She is an American citizen who has stayed in Portugal for extended periods of time. Her family has traveled every nook and cranny of Portugal, including the tourist spots, small villages, large cities, beaches, churches, old roads, wineries, soccer games, weddings, funerals, and castles. Her husband’s family lives in all parts of Portugal giving Maureen the opportunity to travel to small villages throughout Portugal and participate in planning festas and walking in processions for various Saints throughout the year. Maureen is eager to share with you her travel tips, her secret beaches, her travel itineraries, her reviews of restaurants and hotels and most of all her love for Portugal.
