Maureen has been married to a Portuguese Citizen for 38 years and has traveled to Portugal almost every year since 1987 including 2 visits per year on occasions. She is an American citizen who has stayed in Portugal for extended periods of time. Her family has traveled every nook and cranny of Portugal including the tourist spots, small villages, large cities, beaches, churches, old roads, wineries, soccer games, weddings, funerals and castles. Her husband’s family lives in all parts of Portugal giving Maureen the opportunity to travel to small villages throughout Portugal and participate in planning festas and walking in processions for various Saints throughout the year.
